Pain during copulation
Top-Quality Lindera Powder. This formula could dispel the Cold, warm the channel, harmonise the collaterals and relieve the genital or abdominal pain, as well as ejaculation pain. Chuan Xiong Radix Ligustici Chuanxiong 10g and Chuan Niu Xi Radix Cyathulae 10g could be applied to the prescription.
Angelica Four Rebellious Decoction. This formula could be used to warm the channel, dispel the Cold, promote the Qi circulation and relieve the pain. Wu Yao Radix Linderae 5g, Ju He Semen Citri Reticulatae 10g, Bing Lang Semen Arecae 10g, Chuan Xiong Radix Ligustici Chuanxiong 10g and Huai Niu Xi Radix Achyranthis Bidentatae 10g could be applied at same time to relieve the pain.
1. If there is severe aversion to cold, add Wu Zhu Yu Fructus Evodiae 6g to warm the Liver channel and relieve the pain
2. If there is dysmenorrhoea, add Tao Ren Semen Persicae 10g, Hong Hua Flos Carthami 10g and Yi Mu Cao Herba Leonuri 10g to remove the Blood stasis and relieve the pain
3. If there is severe pain in the testicles, add Li Zhi He Semen Litchi 10g to regulate the circulation of Qi in Liver channel and relieve the pain
4. If there is pain in the lower abdomen, add Gan Jiang Rhizoma Zingiberis 10g and Yan Hu Suo Rhizoma Corydalis 10g to warm the Lower Burner and relieve the pain.
Tian Tai Wu Yao Wan Top-Quality Lindera Pill.
LI-4 Hegu, TE-5 Waiguan, LR-3 Taichong, SP-8 Diji, CV-3 Zhongji, KI-10 Yingu and BL-18 Ganshu. Reducing method is applied for these points, with moxibustion on LI-4 and TE-5. Reinforcing method is used on CV-3.
▪ LI-4, the Source point of the Large Intestine channel, and TE-5, the Connecting point of the Triple channel, dispel the External Cold and relieve the External symptoms
▪ LR-3, the Stream and Source point of the Liver channel, warms the channel and regulates the circulation of Qi
▪ SP-8, the Accumulation point of the Spleen channel, regulates the circulation of Qi, harmonises the collateral and relieves the pain
▪ KI-10, the Sea point of the Kidney channel, regulates the circulation of Qi, dispels Cold from the channel and relieves the pain
▪ CV-3, the crossing point of the Directing Vessel and the three Yin channels of the foot, and the Front Collecting point of the Bladder, can improve the Yang-Qi, warm the channels and relieve pain
▪ BL-18, the Back Transporting point of the Liver, removes the Qi stagnation and relieves painful copulation.
Moxibustion warms the channel and regulates the circulation of Qi.
LR-1 Dadun, LR-4 Zhongefng, LR-5 Ligou, LR-6 Zhongdu, LR-8 Ququan, LR-12 Jimai, GV-2 Yaoshu, GV-4 Yaoyangguan and CV-2 Qugu, etc.
1. If the testicles are painful, add LR-5 and LR-8 to regulate the circulation of Qi in the Liver channel and relieve the pain
2. If the vagina is painful, add ST-30 and CV-2 to warm the channel and relieve the pain
3. If there is spastic penis, add ST-40 and SP-9 to regulate the circulation of Qi, harmonise the collateral and relieve the pain
4. If there is lower abdomen pain, add ST-25 to warm the channels and relieve the pain. At the same time, moxibustion treatment on CV-8 is recommended
5. If there is perineal pain, add KI-10 to regulate the circulation of Qi and relieve the pain.
Symptoms are painful copulation, reddish and swelling genitals with a sensation of heat, scanty and yellow urine, yellow and smelling leucorrhoea, urethral mucus, constipation, or diarrhoea, lower abdominal pain, lower back pain, a bitter taste in the mouth, a thick and yellow tongue coating and a wiry and rapid pulse.
Clear the Heat, eliminate the Damp, subside the swelling and relieve the pain.
Gentiana Draining the Liver Decoction. This formula can clear the Heat, eliminate Damp and relieve the pain during the copulation. Xiao Ku Cao Spica Prunellae 10g, Chuan Niu Xi Radix Cyathulae Officinalis 10g, Bai Shao YaoRadix Paeoniae Lactiflorae 10g and Tu Fu Ling Rhizoma Smilacis Glabrae 10g could be added to increase the effect of relieving the pain.
Four-Marvel Pill. This formula is mainly indicated in downward flow of Damp-Heat. Long Dan Cao Radix Gentianae 5g, Huang Lian Rhizoma Coptidis 5g, She Chuang Zi Fructus Cnidii 10g, Chi Shao Yao Radix Paeoniae Rubrae 10g and Pu Gong Ying Herba Taraxaci 10g, etc., should be added to clear the Heat, eliminate Damp and relieve the pain.
Change Yellow (Discharge) Decoction. This formula can activate the Spleen, eliminate the Damp, clear the Heat and relieve the leucorrhoea. It is indicated in copulation pain due to formation of Damp-Heat resulting from weakness of the Spleen. Long Dan Cao Radix Gentianae 5g, Huang Lian Rhizoma Coptidis 5g and She Chuang Zi Fructus Cnidii 10g, etc, could be added to relieve the pain.
1. If the genitals are swollen and painful, use the following herbs to make a body lotion to wash the genitals: Huang Bai Cortex Phellodendri 10g and Ku Shen Radix Sophorae Flavescentis 10g to eliminate Damp-Heat and relieve the pain
2. If the testicles are painful, add Ju He Semen Citri Reticulatae 10g and Li Zhi He Semen Litchi 10g to regulate the Liver-Qi and relieve the pain
3. If there is yellow leucorrhoea, add Ku Shen Radix Sophorae Flavescentis 10g and Bai Xian Pi Cortex Dictamni Radicis 10g to eliminate Damp-Heat in the Lower Burner and relieve the leuokorrhea
4. If there is constipation, add Da Huang Radix et Rhizoma Rhei 6g and Mang Xiao Natrii Sulfas 10g to clear the Fire, promote the defecation and relieve the constipation
5. If there is a painful perineum, add Yan Hu Suo Rhizoma Corydalis 10g and Yu Jin Radix Curcumae 10g to regulate the Qi and Blood circulation and relieve the pain.
Long Dan Xie Gan Wan Gentiaria Draining the Liver Pill.
LR-2 Xingjian, LR-5 Ligou, LR-12 Jimai, SP-9 Yinlingquan, KI-2 Rangu, KI-10 Yingu, BL-18 Ganshu and CV-2 Qugu. Reducing method is used on these points.
▪ LR-2 and LR-5, the Spring point and the Connecting point of the Liver channel respectively, eliminates Damp-Heat in the channel and relieve the pain
▪ SP-9, the Sea point of the Spleen channel, eliminates Damp-Heat and activates the Spleen
▪ KI-2 and KI-10, the Spring point and the Sea point of the Kidney channel respectively, promote the urination and eliminate Damp-Heat
▪ BL-18, the Back Transporting point of the Liver, reduces the Heat in the Liver channel
▪ CV-2, the crossing point of the Directing Vessel and the Liver channel, and LR-12 regulate the circulation of Qi, eliminate Damp-Heat and relieve the pain.
LR-1 Dadun, LR-6 Zhongdu, LR-8 Ququan, CV-1 Huiyin, CV-3 Zhongji, SP-6 Sanyinjiao, GB-34 Yanglingquan, GB-41 Zulinqi and GB-43 Xiaxi, etc.
1. If there is a painful perineum, add CV-1 and KI-6 to clear Damp-Heat and relieve the pain in the perineum
2. If there are swollen genitals, add SP-6 to eliminate Damp-Heat and reduce the swelling
3. If the testicles are painful, add ST-29 and ST-30 to regulate the Qi, remove its stagnation and relieve the pain
4. If there is a painful vagina with leucorrhoea, add ST-30 and HT-8 to eliminate Damp-Heat and relieve the pain
5. If there is painful urination, add KI-4 to clear Damp-Heat, promote the urination and relieve the pain
6. If there is lower back pain, add BL-23 and BL-58 to strengthen the lower back and relieve the pain.
