Epigastric pain
Galangal and Cyperus Pill and Schizonepeta and Ledebouriella Powder to Overcome Pathogenic Toxin. The first formula can dispel the Wind-Cold, warm the Stomach and relieve the pain. The second formula dispels Wind-Cold and relieves the External symptoms.
Liang Fu Wan Galangel and Cyperus Pill.
LU-7 Lieque, LI-4 Hegu, CV-12 Zhongwan, ST-36 Zusanli, SP-4 Gongsun and PC-6 Neiguan. Reducing method is used on these points except PC-6 and ST36, on which even method is used. Moxibustion is applied to these points.
▪ LU-7 and LI-4 dispel the Wind-Cold and relieve the External symptoms
▪ CV-12, the Front Collecting point of the Stomach, and ST-36, the Lower Sea point of the Stomach, clear obstruction in the Stomach channel, expel the Wind-Cold and stop the pain
▪ PC-6 and SP-4 are the Confluence points, being able to clear the Qi obstruction in the Stomach and stop the pain
▪ Moxibustion dispels the Cold and relieve the pain in the Stomach.
Symptoms are acute onset of stomach pain with nausea and vomiting, a feeling of fullness and cold in the epigastric region, loose stools or diarrhoea, fever, aversion to cold, generalised pain with heaviness, a white and sticky tongue coating and a soft pulse.
Expel the Cold, transform the Damp, regulate the Qi in the Middle Burner and stop the pain.
Agastache Upright Qi Powder. This formula can dispel the Wind, eliminate the Cold, resolve the Damp, relieve the External symptoms, sedate the Stomach pain and stop the diarrhoea.
Huo Xiang Zheng Qi Wan (Pian) Agastache Upright Qian Pill (Tablet).
LI-4 Hegu, TE-5 Waiguan, CV-12 Zhongwan, ST-36 Zusanli and SP-3 Taibai. Reducing method is used on the first three points; even method is used on the last two points.
▪ LI-4, the Source point of Large Intestine channel, TE-5, the Connecting point of the Triple Burner channel, can expel the Cold-Damp from the Exterior and relieve the External symptoms
▪ CV-12, the Front Collecting point of the Stomach, and ST-36, the Lower Sea point of the Stomach, can regulate the Stomach-Qi, expel the Cold-Damp and stop the pain
▪ SP-3, the Source point of the Spleen channel, can strengthen the Spleen, transform the Damp in the Middle Burner, harmonise the Stomach and stop the diarrhoea.
Symptoms and signs are epigastric pain with history of over-eating and drinking or irregular eating, full and distending sensation in the stomach, belching with a foul smell, vomiting, which reduces the pain, possible poor appetite, poor appetite, loose stool or constipation, abdominal swelling, a normal or slightly red tongue with a sticky coating and a wiry, slippery pulse.
Promote the digestion, regulate the Qi of the Stomach and stop the pain.

Preserving and Harmonising Pill. This formula can promote the digestion, regulate the Qi of the Stomach and stop the pain indicated in stagnation of food in the Stomach and Spleen. Chuan Xiong Radix Ligustici Wallichii 10g, Chuan Lian Zi Fructus Meliae Toosendan 10g and Xiang Fu Rhizoma Cyperi Rotundi 10g could be added to relieve the pain.
Bao He Wan Preserve Harmony Pill.
CV-12 Zhongwan, ST-36 Zusanli, BL-21 Weishu, ST-25 Tianshu, SP-9 Yinlingquan, SP-6 Sanyinjiao and PC-6 Neiguan. Reducing method is used on these points.
