Is the player OK?
• Any player injured during the game should be assessed after the match and referred for specialist review if there is any doubt. (Team Doctor/Specialist)
Reassess/revisit the situation
• Be sure you know what actually happened and the nature of the player’s complaint. This may be difficult in the heat of the moment during a game
• At times neither the player nor person attending them may be sure of the exact nature of the problem
• Having a chance to cool down and think about things can help both parties get to the bottom of the injury
